What Makes FCA Unique?
.:: Our Staff ::.
Teachers at FCA are well qualified to effectively teach within their areas of specialization, as nearly 81% hold current Colorado certification. All remaining non certified teachers are actively pursuing certification. FCA teachers are not only well trained professionals, but also view their calling to teach as a ministry to each student. Our teachers are empowered by the Holy Spirit to effectively address the students’ spiritual, academic, emotional and physical needs in the context of their relationship with Jesus Christ. Therefore, our teachers enable students to discover how God’s word provides direction, correction, comfort and encouragement in all aspects of life.
.:: Our Academics ::.
FCA students in grades K-11 annually score one or more grade levels beyond their national counterparts on the Stanford Achievement Test. Additionally, their ACT scores are 1.5 – 2.0 points higher than all other students nationally who take this exam. Nearly 80% of FCA students taking Advanced Placement classes earn college credit by virtue of their scores on AP final exams. (Detailed result graphs are available in the FCA Profile section of our web site.)
.:: Our Students ::.
Upon graduation, development of godly character and a biblical worldview are two of the key goals established for every FCA student. Throughout their career at FCA, students are given many opportunities to achieve these goals. Each student is required to participate in various outreach projects within their church and community, beginning during elementary years and continuing throughout their high school experience. Additionally, many students also choose to participate in short term mission trips to serve, evangelize and demonstrate God’s compassion around the world. Finally, each student is challenged through daily Bible classes, chapels and within each academic discipline to discover God’s perspective on real life issues.
.:: Our Athletic Programs ::.
FCA students have numerous opportunities beginning in elementary school to participate in athletics. Athletic programs offer varsity and sub varsity options, as FCA teams successfully compete in the Colorado High School Activities Association 3A division. Athletic success is not only measured by the number of wins, losses and final standings, but also upon the quality relationships that are built between players, coaches, opponents, and ultimately with the Lord Jesus Christ. Athletic competition provides significant character building opportunities for athletes and coaches.
.:: Our Extracurricular Activities ::.
From Kindergarten through High School, a diverse array of student activities are available to FCA students including choir, band, art, drama, Knowledge Bowl, Speech, video editing, yearbook, journalism, technology, various clubs, student tutoring and National Honor Society. Each one of these programs is designed to provide a specific niche that will empower every student to develop the gifts and talents that God has placed within them and enhance their educational experience.
