MUSIC HIGHLIGHTS

Faith Christian High School has a music program that is an incredible blessing.  Concerts are beautifully performed and those who hear the music of FCHS students can tell the amount of love, effort, and time that has been put into preparing for their performances.  It is also amazing to hear the band play at athletic events to help cheer on their classmates.  


Three FCA students participate in the 2012 All State Choir

On February 5th, 6th and 7th, three FCA high school students participated in this year’s Colorado All State Choir.  Keri Graber, Roderick O’Dorisio and Jeremy Owens were among the approximately 475 students from around the state who were selected for this prestigious event.  Over 2,200 students from hundreds of high schools auditioned last October and they were notified in November of the results.  All those accepted then had to prepare 6 very difficult pieces and pass a second audition on February 5th before continuing into the first rehearsal.

“I am thrilled that we had three students selected since it is a very strenuous audition process” Mr. Welsh commented.  “We had a total of five students audition in October and all received very high ratings.  I am very proud of all of them.”

Keri participated in the 190 voice All State Women’s Choir while Roderick and Jeremy sang in the 150 voice All State Men’s Choir.  All three said it was a wonderful experience and were thrilled to be a part of it.

The event culminated with a public concert on February 7th in the Wells Fargo Theater in the Colorado Convention Center.  Approximately 3,000 friends and family were in attendance.
