Blair Hubbard has been a part of the ministry at Faith Christian since 1996 serving in many roles during his time here. Currently, as the head Athletic Director and the Discipline Director of FCHS, he has the opportunity to reach the lives of so many young hearts and minds. In addition, he has coached at Faith for 14 years. In these 14 years, Blair has been the C-team Head Basketball coach, JV Head Baseball coach, and the Assistant Varsity Baseball coach. In addition he was the Assistant Football coach from 1996-1998; he then took over the Football program in 1999. During his time as the Football Program Director and Head Football Coach, he has led his teams to five League Championships (‘00, ‘05, ‘06, ‘07, and ’08) and two State Championships (’04 and ’06).
Blair loves coaching football, first and foremost, as a ministry to young athletes. He believes that the daily opportunity to speak into the lives of young men from the Word of God is an incredible blessing. He enjoys teaching his student athletes how to apply God’s Word to the daily challenges of life and the challenges that they will face through the sport of football. He enjoys using the sport of football to teach life lessons so as to prepare young men for life after football. His desire for these young men is that through their years of playing football at Faith they will become men that will Glorify God through everything they do. His hope is that they will become great leaders for God, great husbands to their wives, and great fathers to their children.
Blair also loves coaching football because he loves the game. He loves the preparation and the anticipation leading up to game day. The thrill of game night under the lights and seeing his athletes implement all the strategy and hard work from the week before. The atmosphere, the intense action, and the strategy of the game make it a great sport to play and coach. He feels so blessed by the great players that have come through his program that are dedicated and willing to work hard and play as a team. He also feels very blessed by his great staff of assistants that love these players and love coaching football. In his very own words, “It is said that if you go to work and it doesn’t feel like a job you are in the right place. I have never felt like coaching football was a job, it has been a great adventure that God has graciously allowed me to be a part of.”
Blair met his wife, C.L., while working and teaching at Faith. They got married in 1999 and they have a beautiful daughter named Annalise. www.championshipproductions.com
