FCA Scrip Program (Tuition Reduction Incentive)
What is SCRIP? The Faith Scrip Program is run by People Helpers. People Helpers is a non-profit organization that is run independently from Faith Christian Academy.
SCRIP is a term that means "substitute money." When you purchase SCRIP, you're purchasing negotiable gift certificates and prepaid cards that are used just like cash. You can use SCRIP to purchase everyday expenses like food, clothing, and other essentials, and with every purchase, you can lower your tuition.
FCA, in partnership with People Helpers, makes available to your family, through an order form, the ability to purchase SCRIP from grocery stores, department stores, and other retailers. Because the SCRIP is purchased with cash up front, the participating retailers offer a substantial rebate to FCA. FCA in turn passes on that rebate directly to your family in the way of a tuition reduction on a quarterly basis. The remaining 1.5% of the total cost is retained and is used for administrative and start-up costs of the program.
SCRIP is a "personal" fundraiser. The businesses you purchase SCRIP from return to FCA a rebate ranging from two to 15 percent or more. SCRIP is a popular revenue source because families don't have to sell anything. Simply make normal household purchases you would make anyway. Groceries, clothing, toys, gifts; even gasoline can be purchased with SCRIP.
