FAITH CHRISTIAN HIGH SCHOOL DRAMA AND SPEECH
MEET THE DIRECTORS
Jeanie Gordon ::: Drama Coach, Speech Coach, Producer and Director - The King & I I am truly blessed to be a teacher at Faith Christian High School. I believe that God has placed me here for a purpose and I feel honored to work alongside this amazing Christian staff. My goal as a speech and drama teacher/coach is to provide the opportunity for the students to grow in their gifts of communication and also in competitive and theatrical performance. With God's eternal grace and blessing we will strive to use these talents for all the purpose of God's glory.
Traci Powers ::: Speech Coach and English Teacher My seventh grade year was a significant turning point in my life. In that year, I accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior, and I also felt God calling me to attend Oral Roberts University and to become an English teacher in Christian education. Since that time, the Lord has continually led me on a course to fulfill that mission. I met my husband, Chris, at ORU, and it has been the greatest joy of my life to be able to work side-by-side with him in education ministry for the past fifteen years. I look forward with great anticipation to continuing to educate students with academic rigor and creative approaches in American Literature and AP Language and Composition.
Bill Welsh ::: Choir Director, Music Director - The King & I I am originally from Washington State and received my BA in Music Education from Central Washington University in 1971. After teaching public school music for three years, I went on tour with Up with People, an international musical and educational organization. For the next 25 years I served as both Assistant Music Director and Music Director where I had the opportunity to travel and direct musical shows in more than 25 countries around the world, including Russia and the People's Republic of China. I have arranged and conducted music for two Super Bowl half-time shows and have worked with and arranged music for a number of orchestras throughout the U.S., including the Boston and Philadelphia Pops. I teach vocal music here at FCHS and look forward to sharing my love and passion for music with our students. I live in Arvada with my wife, Robin, and we have two children. Our son, David, is a member of the rock band, The Fray, and our daughter, Lindsey, is a graduate of Colorado State University and is a teacher at Loveland High School.
