 2009 Fall Cheerleading

It has already been a very busy start to the 2009-2010 school year for the Faith Christian High School Cheerleaders.  The FCHS Cheerleaders are dedicated to showing awesome school spirit and they work hard to accomplish their goal.  Over the summer, Faith’s squad attended the National Cheerleaders’ Association camp in Colorado Springs where they were awarded the Herkie Award for Best Overall Squad and the Game Day Division Award (against several 5A schools).  Several FCH Cheerleaders were recognized individually, including senior, Shelby Yaffe, who won the Captain Award for the entire camp.  The FCHS Cheerleaders also work hard at supporting the Cheer Program through their Cheer Mini-Camps at the Elementary and Middle Schools.  In September, they hosted 60 “future cheerleaders!”  Ten FCHS Cheerleaders were nominated for the NCA All-American Team and congratulations go to sophomore, Tess Brockmeyer, for making the All-American Team. This fall, Faith’s Cheerleaders have been working hard getting strong and perfecting their skills.  They have cheered at every football game, home and away, as the Eagles soared to a perfect record thus far.  In addition to encouraging the team and fans during the games, the Cheer Program decorates the players’ lockers and the field before games making banners, organizes the return of the Homecoming Float Parade and offers games and “Cheer Gear” for the fans. Have you ever wondered who brings the FCA Eagle Mascot to life?  Only the cheerleaders know for sure!
