FAITH CHRISTIAN HIGH SCHOOL ARTISTIC DEVELOPMENT ABOUT THE TEACHER Scott Hickel is the Art teacher at Faith Christian High School. He teaches all levels of Art and Pottery and has been at FCA for 7 years. He has a total of 11 years of teaching experience and is a very accomplished artist himself. He obtained a BFA from Kansas State University and an MFA, with an emphasis in printmaking, from Colorado State University. Scott loves teaching Art because he enjoys encouraging his students to explore different ways of thinking and how to discover their own personal expressions of life. His hope is that he can glorify God in this role using his words and actions to impact and enlighten the students he comes into contact with. Scott has been married for 24 years and has two college-age children, he enjoys following sporting events and volunteers most of his time at his daughter and son-in-law’s Italian restaurant. During his college years he focused mostly on printmaking with an emphasis on a specific form called Intaglio.
